We have four band sawmills in operation in Liberia that employ twelve men.
When they are waiting for logs or there is a breakdown they work on our vegetable farm.
We support a farming project to help our ministry partners feed their families, create farming jobs, learn better farming techniques, and generate income.
Profits from the sawmill operation were used to buy land for farming on the same property. This eight-acre plot is quickly becoming a headquarters for all our operations outside churches and schools!
By improving farming techniques (some learned through the ‘Farming God’s Way’ seminars) yields are increasing. We have donated many seeds toward this effort and we always are in need of more.
Several years ago, God blessed Revive Liberia through the kindness of a man who donated property to our mission. The property contained a government-built home for the elderly and disabled. The home was established and then its inhabitants were unfortunately not cared for adequately by the government.
We saw an opportunity to help the members of the home and over time we have provided them with food, beds, chairs and other conveniences that most Americans take for granted.
God has used Revive Liberia to bring much-needed aid and comfort to people who had little more than a roof over their heads before. Many of them had no family or other means to survive and had to beg for sustenance to live.
We have been able to provide relief to them and show them that there is a God who cares about them.
Support is needed in the form of funds to purchase basic necessities for these people. We are in the midst of hiring one of our pastor’s widows to cook regularly for the residents.
We need more sponsors who would contribute $25 monthly for this project. We also collect what we call “Goodie Bags” for the
residents.
Revive Liberia sends cargo containers to Liberia that contain everything from clothes, tools, vehicles and computers.
Swimming pool covers are extremely heavy plastic that can be used for roofs. They last a long time and when covered with thatch, they will last indefinitely.
Many churches and schools use them for roofs. Although we are able to get second-hand covers for free, it still costs $60 each to ship them. They are probably the most valuable item we regularly ship.
